One last shot from the Black Sea seaside resort of Mamaia. As you can see there were very few tourists on the beach (the algae invation definitely not helping). I guess things improve over the weekend but even so, it’s not a good state of affairs.
Care to try a swim in this soup of algae? This is how the Black Sea looks this summer season 🙁
When in Rome … When going to the Romanian seaside make sure to try this local pastry called “plăcintă dobrogeană”, a sort of cheese pie which – take my word for it – is very very delicious. I for one have followed my own advice and savored the one slice in today’s photo at a beach restaurant in Mamaia.
For today, a toy from my childhood. I was pretty excited when I saw this, I didn’t think I’ll see one still around. I guess some people take better care of things than me 🙂
Another day without any photos. I really hope this won’t become a trend. For today I chose a photo taken in April 2010 during my trip to Argentina. It shows the Salinas Grandes, a salt desert located in the province of Jujuy.
Today’s photo shows the construction work to the underground parking lot in the University Square, Bucharest.
Fresh bread made by some friends of mine who are training to become bakers.
It happened quicker than I thought 🙁 I didn’t take any pictures today, despite carrying my heavy camera with me all day long. I guess I just didn’t feel inspired. But I wanted to post something for the day, so I chose a photo taken a few days before, on July 1st, while I was taking off from San Francisco. In the photo you can see part of downtown, the portion of Bay Bridge up to the Yerba Buena Island and of course the famous San Francisco Bay.
Passing by my favorite Bucharest bookstore, Cărtureşti, late at night.
Chilling out late at night in the Old Town of Bucharest we made a new friend. He adopted us quickly and started defending us by barking at everyone who passed nearby 🙂 He came out a bit blurry because light was low and he kept moving.
